Eligibility Requirements for SSSP

Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and may be eligible for services if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Neither of your parents has received a bachelor's degree
  • You have a verifiable disability
  • Your financial aid package includes a Pell Grant

Determine Your Eligibility For Student Support Services

You can qualify one of three ways.

Part I: Low Income Guidelines

8             Less than $58,335

For families with more than 8 members, please add $5,940 for each additional member.

Did your taxable income fall within the range for your family size?

If you answered "yes," you are Low Income eligible for the Student Support Services program.

Part II: Educational Background

Does your father/guardian have a four-year degree?

Does your mother/guardian have a four-year degree?

If you answered "no" to BOTH questions, you are First Generation eligible for the Student Support Services program.

Part III: Disability

Do you have a documented disability?

If you answered "yes", you are Disability eligible for the Student Support Services program.
 

If you determined that you are eligible or think you might be, please stop by the Student Support Services Program Office in the Student Services Building in Room 2010 to fill out an application.
