Tutoring

Program Overview

The Tutoring Services Program in the Academic Success Center (ASC) is the centralized process of getting and becoming a tutor at Iowa State University. While individual academic departments and colleges may also offer tutoring opportunities and services, the Tutoring Services Program in the ASC is designed to be a one-stop-shop in a centralized location.

We are dedicated to providing quality tutoring for the majority of undergraduate courses. Small group tutoring, consisting of two to four students per group, is available each semester in most undergraduate courses. Each tutoring group meets two times a week.

Tutees (currently enrolled ISU Undergraduate students):

  • Do you want to improve your grade and understand your course material better?
  • Did you receive a low test score or midterm grade?
  • Are you repeating a course?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions then Apply to Get a Tutor!  You will be included in a small group (4 students max) led by a tutor who did well in the specific course(s) you request and who wants to help you! Click on the Application to GET a Tutor below and apply!
